According to the World Health Organization, no level of alcohol consumption is safe. A recent study found that even low-risk drinking was associated with higher mortality. However, the same study found lower death rates among wine drinkers who drank only during meals. Light drinking was also associated with healthy aging in 12 out of 22 studies examined in one meta-analysis. In this review of Dr. Michael Greger's work on olive oil, we examine Dr. Greger's claim that olive oil impairs endothelial function, and is thus as detrimental to one's health as high-fat foods are. 
We are committed to producing the very best snacks, and our Tomato-Onion Chips, is made with extra virgin olive oil. If Dr. Gregor was correct, we needed to remove it.
We took a deep dive into Dr. Greger’s work and published our findings here.
Bottom line: Dr. Greger has extensively misrepresented and taken bits of sentences and data out of context, often contradicting the explicit conclusions of the studies that he himself cited.
Across the board, the conclusions were that extra virgin olive oil was healthful, particularly with salad components like tomato and onion.
